We have just submitted a major detailed planning application for the next, residential-led, phase of the Dixon Jones Edinburgh Park Southern Phase Masterplan for the developer Parabola. This phase extends the masterplan with over 1700 high quality residential units. These are predominantly apartments in a combination of private residential, build-to-rent and affordable homes. The residential element is complemented by over 350,000 sq ft of commercial space including a significant commercial hub and a 170 bedroom apartment hotel. The proposals include extensive high quality public realm including a new public square at Edinburgh Park railway station, a large public park, play areas and carefully crafted gardens and extensive outdoor space for new residents to enjoy.
The masterplan was designed by Dixon Jones as were three of the buildings; the Station Site office and apart-hotel buildings, the private residential Villa Apartments and the Western Office. Dixon Jones collaborated closely with HTA and Sutherland Hussey Harris architects on the remaining buildings and Gross.Max. on the landscape and public realm.
